Moving

We moved last week.  This is the first move of several to come!  Not that we haven't lived in 12 places already in our 5 years of marriage, here is another to add to the list, and a few more to look forward to.  We are currently in Alpine at Spencer's parent's home, as they are doing some service in Peru until April.  We have been here for a week now, and it is beautiful, snowy, secluded, and a lot bigger than what we are used to!  At the end of April we are migrating south to Florida to sell with Vivint.  Then in August, we have decided to move to the northeast where Spencer will attend dental school at Temple University in Philadelphia.  We are excited and anxious about all the new changes.  I feel like it will all just be a whirlwind until we are settled next fall.  We packed for each season, and practically moved everything into storage.  We have boxes labeled Summer, and boxes for Fall, and we brought our Winter ones to Alpine.

It has taken a little getting used to living up in the mountains, everything is a lot farther away and it snows a bit more up here.  Up until this past week, Utah County hasn't seen much snow.  But our first week here, it decided to storm. To make a long story short, I was headed to girls night wednesday night and it had just snowed, and as I was coming down the big hill the road veered right and my car wanted to go straight, I couldn't turn it.  Luckily I was going very slowly, and gracefully fell down a few feet into the ditch off the road.  Yes I say gracefully because my car did not tip over or crash into trees, it just went right off the road and came to a stop on all fours, unharmed and parallel to the road.  I called Spence, but of course his phone was downstairs, and he was in the kitchen eating chocolates. So I hiked back up the snowy hill to the house. We called Geico and they took care of it all, a tow truck came, and about an hour later my car was back home in its original condition.  I was lucky.  Needless to say I am a little worried about driving in the snow down the mountain now.  It also makes me realize exactly why Pam and Gil escaped during the months they did :)

So there you have it, a little update on the Greers. We are happy, mostly healthy, and feel very blessed!

(Pam) I have especially enjoyed the spa, workout room, having an alarm system, and cooking in a large kitchen, all great luxuries I have been missing out on.
